Top 5 Business News and Events of this Week

Over the last year, about 200 workplaces were opened in Sanski Most thanks to investments of residents of Sanski Most who are living and working abroad. It is important to emphasize that several business entities were started or existing ones expanded their economic activities as well.

Exports from BiH amounted to 4 billion and 779 million BAM in the period from January to the end of May this year, which is by 10.9 % more than in the same period of the year of 2017. Imports in the first five months amounted to a total of 7 billion and 671 million BAM, which is by 9.6 % more than in the same period last year.

The first BH food outlet Yumm Food was opened two months ago in the Sarajevo building that is known as “Papagajka”. Numerous citizens expressed their interest because they sell products whose prices are acceptable to everyone. This outlet already cooperates with around 200 suppliers.

Products from BiH have been represented in Arabian supermarkets in the past, and our companies will further work on their promotion and export growth in the upcoming period. Adis Hodzic, the export manager of Balkan Trading, said that a great progress was made in the past two years.

The plant for the plasticisation of aluminium profiles was opened in the company “Alpro”, and its value is estimated at 1,200,000 BAM. This investment in a plasticisation plant was necessary since the previous drive, which was built back in 1998, was not enough in both technological and economic way. The new plant has much higher production capacity and provides better performance.
