Toplane on the increase in Prices: New Price is still not economic?

Price of Central Heating radiosarajevo.baFor the first time since 2007, the Government of the Sarajevo Canton reached a Decision on the level of tariff rates which foresees the increase in the price of central heating in the amount of 15 percent compared to the previous price. The set prices of central heating will be applied as of October 1, 2015.

“The price of central heating is increased because, during previous years, the price of natural gas and other fuels used to produce heating energy increased constantly (natural gas, water, electrical energy), without the Government of the Sarajevo Canton approving the increase and adjustment of prices of central heating with the increase in the prices of energy sources since 2007”, said the Head of the Cabinet of the Director of Toplane, Ženja Ljubuškić.

Earlier proposals of Toplane and the independent expert body for the increase in the price of central heating, in the period prior to the last decrease in the price of natural gas, foresaw the increase in the price of central heating by over 30 percent.

“The new set price of central heating is still not economic, i.e. real price, but the last decrease in the price of natural gas along with the increased price of central heating will contribute to the financial stabilization of the enterprise, it will facilitate the paying of bills and liabilities of Toplane for the spent natural gas towards Sarajevogas as our supplier, which will have a positive effect on the function for which the company was founded – the production and distribution of heating energy for the heating of 53.000 users of central heating in the Sarajevo Canton”, Ljubuškić explained.
