Total Loans in BiH amount to over 23 Billion BAM

Total loans to the domestic sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of October amounted to 23.19 billion BAM and are higher by 158.3 million BAM or 0.7 percent compared to September, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

Credit growth was registered in the household sector by 90.1 million BAM or 0.8 percent, government institutions by 72.4 million BAM or 7.1 percent, and non-financial public enterprises by 2.9 million BAM or 0.5 percent.

In October, compared to the previous month, a decrease in credit growth was registered among private companies by 5.8 percent or 0.1 percent, and among other domestic sectors by 1.4 million BAM or 0.6 percent.

The annual growth rate of total loans in October was 5.7 percent, nominally 1.25 billion BAM.

Annual credit growth was registered in the household sector by 768.5 million BAM or seven percent, private companies by 436.1 million BAM or 4.8 percent, non-financial public companies by 27.8 million BAM or 4.9 percent, and by others domestic sectors by 50 million BAM or 28.7 percent.

Reduction of credit growth on an annual level was registered with government institutions by 36.7 million BAM or 3.2 percent.

The foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of BiH at the end of October amounted to 15.77 billion BAM and are less by 150 million BAM or 0.9 percent compared to the previous month.
