The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bisera Turkovic, has launched an initiative to facilitate the visa regime for citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the tourist season, Klix.ba has learned.

According to some information, this decision could be made at the next session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would open the door to many tourists from Saudi Arabia, who intend to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the last few years, the interest of the citizens of this country in coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina for tourism and business purposes has increased.

Therefore, the Council of Ministers was proposed to liberalize the visa regime for this country, especially in the summer, when the interest of the people of Saudi Arabia in BiH is greatest.

This decision, in addition to certainly contributing to the development of relations between the two countries, will also represent an economic injection for the BiH economy, but also for the tourism sector, which is particularly affected by the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

Given that the arrival of tourists in Bosnia and Herzegovina is accompanied by other activities, it is to be expected that such a decision will contribute to the development of other economic sectors that will certainly benefit from greater tourist arrivals from Saudi Arabia to BiH.

Thousands of Saudi citizens visit Bosnia and Herzegovina every year, and the visits include tourists as well as business people who are involved in numerous projects in Sarajevo and other cities.

So far, our country has proven to be a major tourist destination for countries like Saudi Arabia, and the citizens of this country pointed out that BiH is an ideal tourist destination because of the weather, friendly atmosphere, affordable prices and many natural beauties that can not be seen in the Gulf , Klix.ba writes.
