Trade Turnover increased in September in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The total retail trade turnover in Bosnia and Herzegovina in September 2020, observed in current prices, increased by 9.2 percent compared to August 2020. The growth of turnover was realized in trade in food products (food, beverages and tobacco products) in the amount of 10.2 percent, while in trade in non-food products there was an increase in turnover in the amount of 7.7 percent. Observed in constant prices, the total seasonally adjusted retail trade turnover in BiH in September 2020 increased by 8.7 percent compared to August 2020, according to data from BH Agency for Statistics.

The growth of turnover was realized in trade in food products (food, beverages and tobacco products) in the amount of 10.4 percent, while in trade in non-food products there was an increase in turnover in the amount of 7 percent.

The total retail trade turnover index in BiH in September 2020 achieved a nominal growth of 17.8 percent, while real growth amounted to 20.8 percent compared to the base (2015) year.

The total retail trade turnover in BiH, observed in current prices, in September 2020 recorded a decrease of 6.2 percent compared to the same month last year.

Turnover in food products (food, beverages and tobacco) decreased by 0.3 percent, while trade in non-food products increased by 1.5 percent compared to September 2019.
