The wedding of ten couples from five municipalities was supposed to be held in the Old Town in Travnik, but due to bad weather it was moved into the building of the Municipality of Travnik. The event was attended by a large number of relatives, friends and fellow citizens of the couples who last night, before the registrar, said „I do”.

Following couples got married today in Travnik: Enes Razić and Nihada Manjgo, Emir Hadžić and Lejla Zolota, Rusmir Selava and Mubina Suljić, Muhamed Gasal and Selima Šabanović, Amir Šabanović and Elmina Musić, Samir Mušinović and Elma Zukić, Almedin Muratović and Amina Čišić, Elvedin Kunić and Nihada Dedić, Sanjin Hasanbašić and Selma Kavazović and the last couple Esmin Muslimović and Armina Nuhić.

For Emir and Nejla Hadzic from Travnik, today’s event represents a turning point in their life.

“We booked the date without knowing that it will be organized like this, but in the end we came up with the idea to jointly arrange a marriage with other couples. Unfortunately, the weather is bad and we are not able to do this in the Old town, but it was great here too. For us, this represents a new beginning of our life together and a turning point,” said Emir and Nejla.

The secretary of the Travnik Municipality and the President of the Organizing Committee of today’s event Aida Daut, said that today’s event is just one of 75 events that were held within the marking of the Day of the Municipality of Travnik.

“This is the third time that we are organizing these weddings, even though everything was imagined totally different, but the weather was not as we planned so we switched to the hall of the Municipality. The idea came from members of a group 4 years ago, and our goal is to make this a separate project in the future, but we will still mark it within days of the Municipality of Travnik,” said Daut.

After the wedding ceremony in the hall of the Municipality of Travnik, there was a small snack, and the entire event was organized with the help of sponsors who have supported this project, as well as joint decision of the newlyweds.
