Advisor to the Secretary General of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH Igor Gavran believes that by signing the bilateral treaty with the EU on market access BiH will soon become a part of the largest economic block in the world, the World Trade Organization (WTO), which is a very positive sign.

Gavran said that BiH economy has been liberalized for quite some time, the trade is mostly free and the negative consequences of joining the WTO are negligible.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović and European Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht have signed a bilateral agreement between BiH and the EU on market access in the negotiations for WTO accession of BiH.

Minister said that this is the most important agreement in the process of joining to WTO, and he added that the remaining work can be completed before the Ministerial Conference of WTO in Bali in 2013, when the Management of WTO could decide to give BiH full membership in the organization.
