Trebinje Airport, which was supposed to be operational by the end of 2022, and the first shovel has not yet been driven into the ground, announced the details of the construction.

The airport will be located near the Hum settlement, on the entity border with the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH). The total area of the airport will be 48,805 square meters.

The facilities will be:

Terminal 38,640 square meters

Flight control 2,515 square meters, of which the tower is 2,280 square meters

Fire station of 1,710, garage of 2,947 and car wash of 270 square meters

Inspection of officials 852 square meters

All areas for fuel (storage, transfer station, pumping station, etc.) 1,972 square meters

Other technical areas of the airport (eco zone, parking fee control, areas for dogs, border police…) 2,144 square meters

A runway of 3,500 meters

The authors of the analysis emphasize that the transport infrastructure to the airport is bad, that local roads are in a very bad condition, of unsatisfactory width, and in some places, traffic safety is at risk.

There is a water supply system on the site, but there is no sewerage system or thermotechnical installation.

Trebinje will have a terminal of 38,640 square meters, which is more than half of the Zagreb terminal, which is 68,883 square meters. This is exactly twice as much as Sarajevo, Biznis Info reports.
