The Minister of energy, mining and industry of FB&H, Erdal Trhulj stated today in Sarajevo after the meeting with Michael Haltzel, associate of the Centre for transatlantic studies of the Jons Hopkins University in Washington that the contracts concerning the sector of commercial industry, worth 150 – 200 million Dollars should be signed soon.
He explained that one American company would export products from the factories Igman from Konjic, Binas from Bugojno and Pretis from Sarajevo and that all three contracts should be signed by the summer 2015.
Trhulj pointed out that this would create conditions for the factories to recover and start new production lines.
He added that during the meeting, his recent visit to the USA was also discussed. The purpose of the visit was to discuss and present possibilities of cooperation of the two countries in the field of energy and industry with the focus on commercial industry and to make new contacts with a great number of investment funds.
Trhulj also pointed out that at the beginning of the next year the open energy market which was prepared for the last three years should take hold and attract new important investments.
Haltzel said that the discussion was very interesting and that it elaborated lots of topics – B&H economy, B&H and USA relations and the elections in B&H.
He added that he doesn’t want to talk about favourites but that he sees in Minister Trhulj someone who embodies at the same time professionalism and personal integrity which represents the image of a politician who could dominate the political scene in B&H.
