The main trial in the case of Fahrudin Radončić and others pending in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina continued yesterday with an evidentiary proceeding.
Two witnesses were questioned: the attorney Vasvija Vidović and the assistant editor-in-chief of Dnevni avaz, Indira Ćatić.
Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH Božo Mihajlović questioned the witnesses about the authorization of Naser and Donata Keljmendi and the attorney from Kosovo, Besnik Berisha, regarding the gathering of data about the case pending in the Court of Kosovo against Naser Keljmendi.
The first witness said that in 2014 the attorney Berisha asked her to find documents related to that case. Vidović tasked Indira Ćatić with finding the newspaper articles related to the topic, as well as court documents, which Ćatić confirmed.
Ćatić could give the gathered information to the attorney Vidović only, because she tasked her with gathering data. The course of finding articles and documents and their contents were not presented before the trial chamber.
Vidović invoked the attorney code and said that she cannot discuss the content of those documents.
Radončić’s defense again demanded the abolition of detention for its defendant, and the Court will declare on the request later. The Prosecution opposed to that request.
The defense stated that the detention lost its purpose and that, among other things, the work of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of BiH is in jeopardy. The prosecutor will declare on those allegations in a written form, today.
Continuation of the main trial is scheduled for April 27, when then three witnesses will be questioned: Himzo Selimović, Dalida Burzić and Aida Topalović.
