United States (U.S.) envoy Steve Witkoff stated that U.S. President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will discuss Ukraine this week, following Washington’s proposal for a ceasefire.
“There is still much to discuss, but I think the two presidents will have a really good and positive conversation this week,” Witkoff said.
Witkoff added that “Moscow, Kyiv, and Washington want this whole thing to end.”
During recent talks between Ukrainian and U.S. delegations in Saudi Arabia, a 30-day ceasefire was proposed.
