President-elect Donald Trump has announced that billionaire Elon Musk will lead a new government efficiency department with former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswami.
In a statement on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Musk and Ramaswamy would “pave the way for my administration to dismantle government bureaucracy, reduce excessive regulations, cut wasteful spending, and restructure federal agencies.”
Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of X, was a major donor to Trump during his presidential campaign.
