Trump called for a quick End to the War in Gaza because “bad Publicity” is hurting Israel

Yesterday, the candidate of the Republican Party for the presidency of the United States (U.S.), Donald Trump, called for a quick end to the war in Gaza and to ensure the return of the hostages, a day before the meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that “bad publicity” is harming Israel.

“I want him to finish and do it quickly, he has to finish quickly,” Trump told Fox News ahead of a meeting with Netanyahu at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, according to Al Jazeera.

Trump stated that Israel must better manage its “public relations”.

”For some reason, you have Jews wearing yarmulkes and they’re, you know, pro-Palestinian. You’ve never seen anything like it… They have to do this quickly because the world is not taking lightly to it. It’s really unbelievable,” he said, commenting on groups of Jews protesting Israel’s war in Gaza.

As the Guardian reports, Trump also harshly criticized those who protested the Israeli Prime Minister’s speech in the U.S.Congress in the interview, calling for a one-year prison sentence for desecrating the American flag, N1 writes.
