US President Donald Trump told CBS News that he is “totally” focused on political issues, not on Elon Musk.
-That’s all I focus on. I don’t focus on anything else. That’s why I’m doing the highest in the polls. The country is doing great, it’s never done so well. The employment numbers are great, everything is good, Trump said in a phone conversation with CBS News’ Robert Costa.
The statement comes after a heated argument between Trump and his former close associate Elon Musk. Last night, there was a quick exchange of opinions between the two on social media, and it is clear that a once strong alliance has broken down.
Overnight, reports emerged that efforts were being made to achieve some kind of reconciliation between the two. However, Donald Trump also told an ABC News reporter that he was not particularly interested in talking to Elon Musk.
He also insisted in an interview with CNN that “the poor guy has a problem” and that he would not speak to him for some time.
There were signs that Musk had changed his mind about his extended tantrum when he replied “you’re not wrong” to another billionaire who called for peace.
Although Trump and Musk have quarreled and reconciled several times in the last ten years, this episode is on a completely different scale and some things were said that probably cannot be denied, concludes the BBC.
