US President Donald Trump has announced that he intends to set a new deadline for reaching a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine of between 10 and 12 days.
“I will set a new deadline (for Russia) of between 10 and 12 days, starting today. There is no reason to wait. I want to be generous, but we are just not seeing any progress in Ukraine,” Trump told reporters in Scotland after meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Trump had previously said he would significantly shorten the previous deadline of 50 days.
