Tuka could win the first Medal at the World Championship?

tuka2Article about the participants of the World Championships in Athletics, scheduled from the 22nd to 30th of August, was published on the webpage of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), and Amel Tuka will be representing B&H on this competition.

According to the article, Tuka is the greatest discovery of this season, and he currently holds the record of the season on 800 meters, which he ran for 1:42.51 in the Diamond League in Monaco.

Tuka, who works with Italian coach Gianni Ghidini, has very good chance to win the first medal at the World Championships, as stated in the article.

Nijel Amos from Botswana was mentioned as the main competition. Tuka surpassed him just before the end of the race in Monaco. David Rudisha from Kenya, who is not back to his top form since his injury in 2013, was mentioned as potential competition as well.

Qualifying races at 800 meters are on the program on the first day of the competition on the 22nd of August, the day after are the semi-finals and the final race will take place on the 25th of August, at 2.55 p.m.

The race will be broadcasted on the FACE TV.
