Turkish Soldiers on Alert in Kosovo: “We’re ready, wherever the Threat may come from”

Kosovo Force (KFOR), the NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, released footage showing its readiness to take all necessary measures for a secure environment in the country.

In the footage featuring the Turkish contingent in Kosovo, it is emphasized that 4.600 soldiers from 28 NATO allies and partners are serving in Kosovo to guard the 351-kilometer border with Serbia.

“A high level of operational readiness to prevent the danger of new escalation, regardless of where the threat comes from. We are ready to take all necessary measures to continue fulfilling our United Nations (UN) mandate at any time and in an impartial manner,” it is stated.

KFOR also reminds, as usual, that it continues to implement its mandate as the third security responder in Kosovo, following the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), with which it says it “works in close coordination.”
