zgrada_sodasoThe Association of Employers of Tuzla Canton submitted to the President of the Municipal Council and to the Mayor of Tuzla Municipality the proposal to name the square in front of the building “Sodaso” in the Slatina neighborhood in Tuzla that would permanently mark the February protest of citizens in Tuzla and in Tuzla Canton.

In the proposal, among others is stated that protests of citizens of Tuzla Canton, which started in Tuzla on 5 February, evoke the spirit of all citizens in the entire FB&H to raise their voices in regard to injustice and social-material conditions in which they live.

“Thanks to the protests in Tuzla, followed by protests in Zenica, Bihać, Sarajevo, Mostar and other cities in B&H some positive changes are made. These are the first protests of this kind in the modern history of B&H. Tuzla and Tuzla citizens are proud of it”, stated the Association of Employers of Tuzla Canton.

This Association offered to Tuzla Municipality a concrete way of implementation of this proposal, in two phases. The first phase is to name the square “February changes square” or ” Square of Citizens of Tuzla Canton” until 2 October – Tuzla Municipality Day, and the second phase, to arrange the square until 5 February of next year, for the first anniversary of the February protests in Tuzla.
