gold_projekatThe Mayor of Tuzla municipality Jasmin Imamović, together with his colleagues, met with representatives of USAID-Sida GOLD Project B&H-Project to Enhance Local Development (GOLD) and Director of the Project Mark McCord.

The GOLD Project, whose creation in B&H was initiated more than one year ago, is jointly funded by USAID and the Swiss International Agency for Development and Cooperation (Sida), with the aim to support partner municipalities in achieving economic growth and development objectives in the sectors with the highest growth potential.

In this regard, municipality Tuzla was selected as one of the central locations for the realization of activities of Project GOLD, and aimed at developing sustainable local economic development. The objective of Project GOLD is to attract direct investment, create new jobs for young people, increase exports and create models for faster economic growth, which will be applicable throughout the entire country.

The Memorandum of Understanding, which provides a framework and starting point for cooperation between Municipality Tuzla, as a partner in the project and Project GOLD will be officially signed at the official ceremony in Sarajevo on 3 February 2014, said the municipality.
