Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, Edin Forto, signed on Thursday a mandate letter to the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London for the implementation of the project “Energy Efficiency in public buildings of the Sarajevo Canton”.

The signing was organized within the framework of the event “EBRD Green Cities: Building a Sustainable Future in Towns”, where Prime Minister Forto participated as a panelist on the challenge of financing urban city projects in times of major climate change.

The project means additional investments of 20 million BAM in 40 public buildings in Canton Sarajevo, most of which are educational institutions, ie schools, kindergartens, faculties and health care facilities. “Energy efficiency is not only measurable in money. This is an investment in health, sustainability and the future, “Prime Minister Forto said, Biznis Info reports.
