Two former members of the RS Army charged with war crimes in Rogatica area

The Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has filed an indictment against Zoran Ilić (1968) and Radenko Ilić (1965), both from Rogatica, charging them with crimes against humanity.

According to the indictment, the Accused are charged that from the end of May 1992 to the end of 1993, as part of a widespread and systematic attack against Bosniak civilians in the Rogatica municipality, as members of the RS Army – Rogatica Brigade VP 7084, participated in the persecution of Bosniak civilians on the grounds of ethnic and religious background, acting with discriminatory intent, contrary to the rules of international law.

According to the indictment, the accused were on June 19, 1992 in the village of Rudo, Rogatica municipality, armed and in uniform, together with other soldiers known to them, participated in the illegal deprivation of liberty of Bosniak civilians, separation of men from children and women, and forcible removal of 16 men in an unknown direction. and whose bodies have not been found to date.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH announced.
