As of March 23, the Federal Employment Agency will start publishing two large public calls intended for employers and unemployed people, the Director of the Agency, Helena Lončar, pointed out today in Sarajevo.
According to her, the Public Call for Employers to participate in the Employment Co-financing Program 2026 (except for the “I’m looking for an employer 2026” measure, which will be announced later) will be open on March 23, 24 and 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A public call for unemployed people to participate in the Start Up 2026 self-employment co-financing program will be open on March 25, 26 and 27, also from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The application is made online, via the web portal of the Federal Employment Agency.
“In the second week, within five days, the two largest programs will be announced. Until then, we are carrying out additional preparations, including the registration of employers and unemployed persons until Sunday, March 15th until 6:00 p.m.,” said Lončar at the press conference.
She stressed that all those interested in applying for online invitations must be previously registered on the portal of the Federal Employment Agency. Those who have not registered until now are obliged to do so, as well as those who have changed basic data, must contact the Institute for re-access.
When it comes to the Employment Co-financing Program, the funds provided for its implementation amount to 45 million KM, and the employment of at least 4,100 persons from the unemployment register is planned.
The measures within that program are: Employment of trainees 2026, Youth with experience 2026, Employment of women 2026, Opportunity for all 2026, Employment of demobilized combatants 2026, Periodic/seasonal employment 2026, New opportunity 2026, public works and assistance to the needy 2026, and Looking for an employer 2026.
For the Self-Employment Co-financing Program Start up 2026, funds have been provided for implementation and amount to 18 million KM, and self-employment is planned for at least 1,350 people, with the support of the Institute.
The measures within that program are: Entrepreneurship for young people 2026, Entrepreneurship for women 2026, Entrepreneurship for all 2026 and Entrepreneurship for demobilized fighters 2026.
Lončar noted that in addition to these two programs, the Institute will implement a number of other programs in 2026: Program for co-financing self-employment in the field of agriculture, Training for the labor market, Training and work, Service in cooperation with employers and Program for self-employment – Second chance.
She emphasized that slightly more than 111 million KM has been provided for active employment policy programs in 2026.
