Two Mills Renovated Within the EX.PO AUS Project in Mostar

mliniceThe commission to preserve national monuments of B&H organized today in Mostar a ceremony, where the results of the project EX.PO AUS -Increasing the users of the Adriatic opportunities of UNESCO areas were presented, within which two mills in Mostar are renovated, one owned by the City and the other one is private property.

According the Executive Officer of the Commission Mirela Mulalić-Handan, the entire project is financed from pre- accession funds of the Adriatic program (2007-2013).

Apart from the renovation of two mills, the technical documentation of the recording of the riverbeds of Radoblja, Buna and Bregava are done as a part of the program, as well as the recording of the mills in the area of Mostar and Stolac, said Mulalić-Handan, emphasizing that the total value of the project for Mostar is 102.000 BAM.

According to her, these kind of projects of small architectures can promote and contribute to the local community.

Both mills should be used for tourism purposes, and the promotion of old professions and productions from the Herzegovina area.
