Two more victims from the previous war were identified today in the premises of the Podrinje identification project in Tuzla. These are victims of Bosniak nationality who died in 1995 in the genocide that took place in Srebrenica.

The identities of the victims were first determined with the help of the DNA method, and today that identity has been confirmed by members of their families.

The remains of Sead (Nazif) Hasić, born in 1963 in Jagodnja near Bratunac, have been identified. He disappeared in the summer of 1995 in Srebrenica, and his remains were exhumed in Potocari in 2019.

Today, the family also confirmed the identity of Rahma (Bekto) Rahmić, born in 1957 near Bratunac. He also disappeared in July 1995, and his remains were exhumed from the Glogova primary mass grave in Bratunac, which was discovered in 2000.

The families of these victims gave their consent for their burial at the collective funeral in Srebrenica next year.

A total of 27 victims of the past war have been identified at the Commemorative Center in Tuzla since the beginning of this year, the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH stated.
