Two Police Officers from the Penitentiary near Sarajevo were suspended

Two police officers from the Penitentiary in Vojkovići were suspended due to unauthorized contact with the detainee Osman Mehmedagić, former director of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was placed in the institution on December 21.

“The prison policeman who was the shift commander allowed another prison policeman who was not on that block to enter and talk to Mehmedagić. Both were suspended and a disciplinary report was filed against both,” confirmed the director of this institution, Siniša Perković.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as SIPA, are aware of the case.

Let us remind you that Mehmedagić, like the President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ranko Debevec, was arrested on December 18, 2023.

They are suspected of having committed criminal acts of abuse of office by illegally wiretapping on judges of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and officials of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the implementation of actions related to the cases of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It refers to the year 2020.

They were ordered into custody, which can last until January 18 of this year or until a new decision by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
