Two Schools closed due to Floods in Zenica Doboj Canton

There will be no classes due to floods in the two primary schools in Zenica-Doboj Canton, “Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar” near Visoko and “Camil Sijaric” from Nemila near Zenica, Minister of Education, science, culture, and sports of ZDK Mensur Sinanovic told Federal News Agency Fena.

“Two school directors informed us that classes will not be held, and all for the safety of children. Dobrinja is problematic due to the bridge, where children come to school, and in the Nemila region floods hampered road communications, and there are also landslides in some parts,” said Minister Sinanovic.

Sinanovic hopes that flooding will be reduced, as well as the flow of water into the river bed and that other schools will normally work day after tomorrow.

“We have informed all directors to follow the situation and take the appropriate steps. If necessary, postpone teaching for day-two, or how much is needed. The safety of children and teachers is of a paramount importance,” notes Minister Sinanovic.
