A delegation from Republika Srpska, including SNSD President Milorad Dodik, is once again in Moscow. This time, they are attending an International Forum on Security.

Željko Budimir, Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, traveled to Moscow with Dodik.

According to the forum program, Dodik is scheduled to speak tomorrow at a plenary session. It was announced that the Republika Srpska delegation will meet with Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

Dodik stated that the main focus of his address will be the security situation from the perspective of the small Serb community in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On that occasion, he said he will convey the position that Republika Srpska is threatened and that remaining within Bosnia and Herzegovina poses a risk to it.

“I will convey our position: we are a small community and, in terms of consequences, security, and in every other respect, we are largely dependent on the actions of the great superpowers, which are clearly very active at the global level today,” Dodik said. Milorad Dodik and politicians from Republika Srpska do not hide their close ties with Russia, and they frequently visit the Kremlin.

Over 120 countries and 140 delegations will attend the forum.

Dodik has already visited Russia this month, when, together with the President of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, and the President of the Peoples’ Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The reason for their previous visit was the celebration of Victory Day in the Second World War; this time, it is the security forum.
