Based on text by one of the most prominent B&H writers Abudlah Sidran, the drama ”U Zvorniku ja sam ostavio svoje srce” (I left my heart in Zvornik) talks about the onset of war in B&H.

The story is set in Zvornik, before the outbreak of war. Rudo, a music teacher and a choir leader is an amateur conductor who dreams of becoming a prominent conductor and  writing a symphony about River Drina. After one choir competition, Rudo sends his students to Sarajevo, and he returns to Zvornik.

The acting cast for this drama consists of seven actors. Those are Emir Hadžihafizbegović, Admir Glamočak, Dragana Jovičić, Feđu Štukan, Amar Selimović, Muhamed Hadžović and Sabina Bambur.

The director of this drama, Sulejman Kupusović explains that this is a text that has become very accurate and alive again, and that it was especially adapted and written for the stage of the Kamerni teatar 55 ( Chamber theater). He also added that the whole drama is not about politics, but is deeply based on human relations, the poetics of Sidran’s sentence and its meanings.

This drama will be performed again on the stage of Kamerni teatar 55 this Saturday.
