The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that people in Gaza, where the Israeli military has been conducting attacks for over 11 months, eat on average once every two days.

UNRWA issued a statement concerning the food needs of the people in Gaza, where the number of Palestinians displaced due to Israeli attacks has reached two million.

The statement highlighted that, according to data from the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and other organizations, 83 percent of the necessary food aid could not be delivered to the Gaza Strip.

”People in Gaza have, on average, one meal every two days,” it stated.

UNRWA and its partners have been distributing high-energy biscuits to children to mitigate the effects of malnutrition.

Israeli forces have been conducting attacks in the Gaza Strip for over 11 months. Due to these attacks and the blockade of humanitarian aid, a humanitarian catastrophe has unfolded in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli restrictions have left many people in Gaza without access to basic necessities such as food, water, hygiene supplies, and shelter.

According to data from Gaza’s government media office, 36 Palestinians have died from hunger, and 3.500 children are at risk of death due to malnutrition.

The Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC), prepared by the Global Network Against Food Crises (GNAFC), indicated that the Gaza Strip, under Israeli attacks, has become “the place suffering from the most severe humanitarian crisis” in the history of the report.

Since October 7th of last year, Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of 41.272 Palestinians, including at least 16.795 children and 11.378 women, and have injured 95.551 people.
