UN: The War in Gaza displaced a Million People in a Week

About one million people have been displaced in the Gaza Strip because of the war that broke out after Hamas attacked Israeli territory on September 7, the United Nations agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) said.

Director of Communications of that UN agency, Juliet Tuma, estimated that about “a million people were displaced in the first seven days of the war” between Israel and the Palestinian movement Hamas in Gaza.

She said that number is likely to rise as people continue to leave their homes.

Israel urged Palestinians from the north to flee south, saying it was carrying out strikes on northern Gaza City to destroy Hamas operations centers.

More than 2,300 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip in Israeli strikes, according to local authorities. On the Israeli side, 1,300 people were killed in Hamas attacks, during which 126 people were also kidnapped, according to Israeli officials.

The Israeli army reports anti-tank fire from Lebanon

The Israeli army announced that a new anti-tank missile attack was launched from Lebanese territory against soldiers in the border area.

Attack sirens sounded in Israeli areas near the Lebanese border.

The Israeli army announced that it hit the area where the anti-tank missile was launched and points belonging to Hezbollah.

They stated that today five separate anti-tank missile attacks were carried out against the Israeli army in the border region from Lebanese territory.

The Israeli army announced that attack sirens sounded in the north of the country, because nine rockets were launched from Lebanese territory, and the army’s anti-aircraft defense systems destroyed five missiles in the air.

As the Israeli-Palestinian conflict turned into a pitched war in the blockaded Gaza Strip, the Israeli-Lebanese border heated up again.

In recent days, the region has been the scene of mutual attacks between the Israeli army and the Lebanese Hezbollah.

The Israeli army announced this morning that an anti-tank rocket was fired from Lebanon first at the town of Shtula in the Western Galilee region in the north of Israel, and then at the Israeli military headquarters on the border.

The Israeli Red Star of David emergency service announced that a 40-year-old Israeli was killed in the attack from Lebanon, and three people were injured.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah announced that it launched rocket attacks in response to Israel killing two Lebanese civilians in the city of Shaba.

Lebanon’s official NNA agency announced that Israel carried out the attack near the towns of Rmeish and Ramya, which are located on the border.

After the attack on the military post, Hezbollah announced that this time it targeted an Israeli tank.

Hezbollah claims that the tank was directly targeted and that there are dead and wounded among Israeli soldiers.

The official Lebanese agency NNA stated that Israeli warplanes carried out flights over the Lebanese town of Merwahin on the border.

Long queues in front of bakeries in Gaza: We have no flour for tomorrow

The problem of power and water outages is increasing in Gaza, where Israeli attacks continue day and night.

Palestinians formed long lines in front of the bakery to buy bread.

“We have difficulties in supplying flour, we have enough flour for today, but we don’t have flour to make bread for tomorrow,” said baker Enes Beshir.

A few days ago, the electricity supply to the region with more than two million inhabitants was completely cut off, after the only power plant in Gaza stopped working due to lack of fuel.

Last weekend, in a dramatic escalation of Middle Eastern tensions, Israeli forces launched a sustained military assault on the Gaza Strip in response to a military offensive by the Palestinian group Hamas on Israeli territory.

Hamas said the operation was in retaliation for the attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Israeli settler violence against Palestinians.

The Israeli army then launched an operation against Hamas targets inside the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army announced that it is waiting for the green light from the policy for a ground attack

The Israeli army announced today that it is waiting for a political decision to launch a ground offensive, after a new deadline set by the Israeli army for the evacuation of the northern part of Gaza to the south of the area expired at noon.

At the same time, the army did not indicate when the option for the safe withdrawal of civilians will be closed, the French news agency AFP reports.
