The Baupartner company completed the assembly of the reinforced concrete structure for the Union Foods production facility in Orasje.

The building has an area of 8,900 square meters. Construction and craft work is underway, which is also being carried out by Baupartner.

As it was found out, one of the leading distributors of consumer goods in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Union Foods d.o.o. from Citluk, has started construction of a factory for the production of tortilla dough and tortilla chips in Orasje.

”It is a multimillion-dollar investment, and due to the rise in the dollar exchange rate against the euro, its value will probably reach as much as 37 million BAM,” Union Foods director Damir Juka told.

The new factory will be the largest factory of its kind in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, and to begin with, it will employ 48 workers in one shift. After two years, this number is expected to rise to 81.

Production is planned to start in 2024, and as Juka told, the products from the factory will be primarily intended for the markets of BiH, Croatia and Serbia, Avaz reports.
