United Arab Emirates and BiH to sign Agreement on Abolition of Visas

On Monday, the United Arab Emirates and Bosnia and Herzegovina will sign an agreement on the abolition of visas for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina when traveling to the UAE, Klix.ba learns, and this was later confirmed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina at a press conference.

The agreement will enter into force 30 days after signing, that is, from December 7 of this year.

Last summer, the United Arab Emirates made a decision to abolish visas for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then it was said that the agreement still needed to be ratified by the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Council of Ministers, Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

The abolition of visas also means a reduction in the cost of traveling to the Emirates, given that the fee for a visa to enter the country is 400 AED, which, according to the current exchange rate, is about 100 euros.

The United Arab Emirates, especially Dubai, has long attracted the attention of the citizens of our country, regardless of the fact that it is a more distant and expensive destination.

We remind you that citizens of the United Arab Emirates are exempted from the obligation to obtain visas for travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina by the decision of the Council of Ministers dated January 19, 2015.

The abolition of visas for BiH citizens was announced in April this year after the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The agreement on the cancellation of visas for citizens of BiH will be signed on behalf of BiH by Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković.
