University of Sarajevo promoted 5,088 Graduates and Masters

The 16th ceremonial promotion of 5,088 graduates and masters of faculties and academies of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), the largest and oldest university in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was held today in the Sarajevo Youth Center.

As part of the ceremony, 200 winners of special awards of the University of Sarajevo were presented, namely the winners of the gold badge, silver badge and the Charter of the University of Sarajevo.

The best students of the first cycle of studies in 2020 with an average of 10.00 are Tarik Corbo from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Adisa BoliC from the Faculty of Science.

The best student of the second cycle of studies in 2020 with an average of 9.95 is Demir Papic from the Faculty of Science.

The rector of the University of Sarajevo, Rifat Skrijelj, addressed the ceremony, organized in online format this year, reminding that UNSA was founded on December 2, 1949, and in its 71st year of existence it was and remains a generator of development and progress of the whole of BiH.

“It brings together all the basic potentials in the field of science, spirituality and art and is a strong support to the entire education system in BiH. In the coming time, expectations and demands from society to the university are growing, so the main mission is to put young people in focus respond to the challenges, ”the rector noted.

The best student of the second cycle of studies in 2020, Demir Papic from the Faculty of Science, addressed the ceremony, emphasizing that this day is special for UNSA, education, community and parents of students.
