The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Josip Brkić, met today with representatives of the German Atlantic Association (DAG) as part of their four-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the conversation, Deputy Brkić expressed satisfaction with the initiative of the DAG delegation to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina and their desire to get to know the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina as directly and better as possible. Partners throughout the European Union, especially such as the German Atlantic Association, give a clear message that Bosnia and Herzegovina has prominent international partners who will be a strong advocate for our country on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration.

Deputy Brkić introduced the guests to the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the results and implementation of the General Elections held in October. The new composition of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, formed in record time, demonstrated the stability and functionality of the state level of government, which will be the bearer of key political activities.

The meeting also discussed the candidacy status, which provided a huge motivation in the final fulfillment of 14 key priorities, especially reform processes that will bring European norms and practices closer to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Deputy Brkić emphasized the importance of continuous joint activities of the institutions of the European Union and BiH in order to start the process of opening negotiations in the foreseeable period of time.

One of the prominent topics of discussion was the NATO perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the cooperation mechanisms to date and the continuation of the close partnership. NATO partners provide strong support to the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in building a security architecture, both in the regional and European frameworks.

The representatives of the German Atlantic Association expressed their satisfaction with the visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed their unquestionable support for the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in strengthening joint cooperation. Investing joint efforts to make Bosnia and Herzegovina a strong European country in all segments represents the common interest of domestic and international representatives, announced the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
