Turner PrcicUS Congressman and until recently Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO Michael Turner once again emphasized the importance and expressed his full support to BiH on its path to NATO during a meeting with the President of American University in BiH, Denis Prcic.

Congressman Turner took over as President of the American delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO in January 2011, and he held the position of President of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO from December 2014 to November 2016.

He emphasized that he repeatedly met with Bosnian officials during his term of office and invited all entities of legislative and executive authorities in BiH to contribute to the fulfillment of the commitments for the start of the implementation of the Membership Action Plan (MAP).

“I have always supported BiH to obtain MAP status and for entering NATO,” said Turner.

President of American University in BiH took the opportunity to introduce the long-time friend of BiH with the current events in BiH, both in the political and social sphere.

Congressman Turner recalled the events from 22 years ago when he was mayor of the American city of Dayton, where was negotiated the ending of the war in BiH in 1995. He noted that certain things seemed impossible even then, but the solution was found.

The congressman took the opportunity to announce a new visit to BiH at the invitation of the President of the American University in BiH.
