“All BiH leaders have a constitutional responsibility to ensure that citizens exercise their democratic right to vote in free, fair and timely elections. Obstructions to the financing and conduct of elections and threats to further partition Bosnia and Herzegovina are anti-Dayton, destabilizing and contrary to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Euro-Atlantic path.” It is stated in the statement of the Embassy of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the decision of the CEC to call general elections for October 2 this year and the reaction of part of the HNS to that decision.

“It is time for leaders to accept responsibility for advancing real reforms, such as the rule of law and laws governing the integrity of the electoral process, that can move Bosnia and Herzegovina forward and allow voters to choose who is committed to fighting corruption and working for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s prosperity. “, the statement added.
