United States envoy to the Western Balkans Matthew Palmer will arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday, July 3, is confirmed for Fena news agency from diplomatic sources.

Numerous meetings of the American envoy with BH officials are planned, including a meeting with BiH Presidency Chairman and Members Milorad Dodik, Sefik Dzaferovic and Zeljko Komsic.

The president of the Croatian Democratic Union of BiH (HDZ BiH), Dragan Covic, previously announced the possibility of the arrival of officials from the European and American administration to discuss changes in the election legislation in BiH.

“On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, we will meet with the highest representatives of the international community, who will come to BiH to complete the work,” Covic said.

Palmer has previously expressed support for the United States amending electoral legislation, which must include a partial amendment to the Constitution to implement the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights and improve the integrity of the electoral process.
