Vaccination for the population older than 65 in Republika Srpska has begun. About 9,000 citizens over the age of 65 have so far applied to the family medicine teams of the Health Center in Banja Luka for vaccination against coronavirus.

The Banja Luka Health Center announced that the process of immunization of these persons is being carried out in parallel with the vaccination of health workers, retired health workers of the Health Center, and users and employees in institutions for the elderly and other institutions for accommodation and long-term care.

On March 9, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, in accordance with the Vaccination Plan against Kovid 19 in the RS, published a public call for applications for vaccination of persons older than 65, because they belong to one of the priority groups. Vaccination of people over the age of 65 has also started in Trebinje, Gradiska and Prijedor.
