Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won tonight’s Qatar Grand Prix, the penultimate race of this season’s Formula 1 championship.
Verstappen, who secured his fourth consecutive world title last Sunday, recorded the 63rd victory of his career in Qatar.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished second in the night race in Qatar, while McLaren’s Oscar Piastre finished third.
Mercedes’ George Russell was fourth, Alpine’s Pierre Gasly finished fifth, and Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz was sixth.
Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), Joe Guanajuato (Sauber), Kevin Magnussen (Haas) and McLaren’s Lando Norris, who also earned an extra point for the fastest lap, also finished in tenth place.
In the drivers’ championship, Verstappen is in first place with 429 points, Norris is in second with 349 points, while Leclerc is in third place with 341 points.
In the constructors’ championship, McLaren leads with 640 points, while Ferrari is in second place with 21 points less.
The final race of the season is next Sunday in Abu Dhabi.
