Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has clinched his fourth consecutive Formula 1 championship title after finishing fifth in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, while his main rival, Lando Norris of McLaren, crossed the finish line in sixth.
With two race weekends remaining, Verstappen has an unassailable lead with 403 points, while Norris holds second place with 340 points. Verstappen now matches the legendary Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel in the number of championship titles.
The street race in Las Vegas was won by Mercedes driver George Russell, marking his third victory of the season. His teammate, Lewis Hamilton, secured second place, while Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz joined them on the podium in third.
Fourth place went to Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, while positions 7 to 10 were claimed by Oscar Piastri (McLaren), Nico Hulkenberg (Haas), Yuki Tsunoda (RB), and Sergio Perez (Red Bull).
The championship continues this Sunday with the Qatar Grand Prix.
