Representatives of victims’ associations from Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered today in front of the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo to express their dissatisfaction with the manner in which war crimes cases are processed.
The president of the Association of Parents of Murdered Children in the Siege of Sarajevo, Fikret Grabovica, said that it is incredible that after 19 years of work of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, there is still no indictment for the siege of Sarajevo, during which 11,540 citizens were killed, of whom 1,601 were children.
He believes that recently less important indictments have been filed, and it is particularly indicative to him that the case of Dobrovoljačka street has been “recycled” several times.
“This shows that the Prosecutor’s Office is trying to equalize responsibility, crimes and other things that force the conclusion that it is an accomplice of retrograde forces working to destroy Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Grabovica.
The president of the “Srebrenica Mothers” Association, Fadila Efendić, said that she was most affected by the fact that some guilt was placed on people whom she believed to be innocent.
She emphasized that the politicians from the RS would like it the most for the truth to remain hidden and that by telling lies, they are trying to save themselves from indictments, Fena reports.
