The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Viskovic, stated that the Banja Luka-Prijedor highway will be built, and that he expects it to be in October.

When asked by journalists when the contract on the construction of this highway will be published, Viskovic said that it was signed and published in 2018, and pointed out that the signed contracts must be respected, otherwise, possible court disputes could happen.

“The contract was published and signed in 2018, so I can’t change or improve anything. I had a conversation a month ago with the contractors, there was a change of route. I asked for the contract to be annexed, based on those indicators, “Viskovic told reporters in Pale.

According to him, the feasibility study was done before he took office as Prime Minister of Republika Srpska. Viskovic pointed out that, when a city or region develops, then there are people in that area, ie residents, and thus vehicles and highway users.

“I am sure that the feasibility study was done by experts, who made good assessments. These are estimates for the next 30 years, of the profession and science, and I believe them, “said Viskovic, adding that if there is a mistake, then it is not the fault of the Government or the Prime Minister, but the people who did the feasibility study, Biznis Info writes.
