Vjekoslav Bevanda speaks about the Public Debt of B&H

bevanda2Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda stated today that the state of the public debt of B&H amounts to 11.69 billion BAM.

At the joint session of both Houses of Parliamentary Assembly of B&H, delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of B&H Martin Raguz asked what is the state of debt of our country.

“By which tempo is debt of B&H growing, what is the ability of B&H to return this debt? What is the position of B&H in relation to the IMF?” asked Raguz.

On behalf of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda answered on this question and said that the total debt of B&H, until the 30th of June, is amounted to 11.69 billion BAM.

Raguz said that the presented data is “alarming” and that the authorities should be more cautious when borrowing money.
