Youth Film Festival volunteers have previously set up a team in Sarajevo to help people in risk group with food, medicine and other necessities during a pandemic, Klix.ba news portal reports.

Now, in agreement with informal groups of citizens, they have extended their assistance to Tuzla, Zenica and Mostar. The aim of these teams is to help the vulnerable to reduce their movement and therefore the risk of coronavirus infection.

“The Operations Center for all volunteers is in Sarajevo and all calls will be accepted here, after which our operatives will send teams to the field, depending on the place of call,” said Kenan Music, OFF director and volunteer team coordinator.

The number on which people in need can get help from is 060 35 32 703 for Sarajevo, 060 35 99 708 for residents of Tuzla, 060 35 99 703 for Zenica, and 060 35 99 709 for Mostar.

The numbers are active as of Friday, and calls will be received between 8am and 8pm. Emergency interventions, in agreement with the competent authorities, will also be performed during the curfew.

“The great impact that our action has made to help vulnerable citizens in Sarajevo Canton has helped us, with the help of city and local government representatives, to form teams of volunteers to assist the elderly in Tuzla, Mostar and Zenica, “said Music.
