The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, today accepted the idea of the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, that the date of the Assembly of the Serbian People should be determined immediately after the end of the UN General Assembly and the vote on the resolution on Srebrenica.
Dodik asked Vučić that the Assembly of the Serbian People, Serbia and Republika Srpska “be held immediately after the adoption of the resolution on Srebrenica in the UN General Assembly”, because, as he says, the Serbian people must provide a strong response to the most serious moral, legal and political disqualifications which were prepared against him, it was announced from the Cabinet of the President of Serbia.
At the meeting in Belgrade, Dodik and Vučić discussed all current issues from the region, according to the announcement.
Vučić specifically informed Dodik about the activities of the Republic of Serbia and its delegation to the UN regarding the proposal by Germany and other major powers to adopt the resolution on Srebrenica.
Vučić pointed out that “the situation for the Serbian people is very difficult and complex”, and that it is quite clear, as he said, that major Western countries will try to pass the resolution, almost at any cost.
Also, Vučić informed President Dodik that “the Republic of Serbia made maximum efforts to protect not only the vital interests of the Serbian people, but also the truth and international law”.
Dodik informed Vučić about his visit to the Russian Federation and the results of that visit.
Presidents Vučić and Dodik will discuss all economic projects and other forms of cooperation on May 1 in Belgrade.
