The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, yesterday met with the representatives of Serbs from Kosovo in the south of the country.
He emphasized that the great powers would “demand the disappearance of the Republika Srpska (RS)” by the spring and that Serbia would face great pressure, as Belgrade Novosti reported.
Vucic stated that “it will fall on the shoulders of Serbia” and that Serbia will face a difficult period.
Namely, the reason for his meeting was an incident in Kosovska Mitrovica in which a Serb was injured.
Further, Vucic stated that Pristina “had the support of a powerful foreign power” for its action yesterday.
“One of the countries of Quint, a country outside the European Union (EU), has given support to the Albanians from Pristina to carry out a new action against the Serbs. Don’t think that they would not get the support of others later, but the United States (U.S.), Great Britain, Germany, they will all support Pristina.” Vucic told.
He said that Serbia would be with the Serbs in Kosovo.
“Whatever happens and whatever you decide, know that Serbia will be with you in every sense. We will ask NATO to do its job and protect the Serbs. If they do not want to do it, we will be forced to react. Believe me, this is not Serbia as it used to be. We are ready to protect our people, to fight for our interests, and to win that fight,” Vucic said, addressing Serbs from Kosovo.
