The Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said yesterday in Brussels that he will definitely go to the commemoration to Srebrenica victims in Potocari, despite the poor security assessments.
When asked to comment the yesterday’s resolution on Srebrenica adopted by the European Parliament, Vucic said that he noticed that Croatian delegates had the leading role in it.
“I will not say anything more and this will be the hundred first time to bite my tongue“, said the Prime Minister of Serbia.
As it was said from the sources close to the Government of Serbia, the security assessments are not so good, and the reason for the cancellation of the visit on 11th July could be an atmosphere in B&H after not adopting the resolution on Srebrenica in the UN Security Council.
A commemoration on the occasion of the 2oth anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica will be held on 11th July, and as a reminder, Vucic said that he will represent Serbia on that gathering, after the unanimous decision of the Government of Serbia.
“We made the decision unanimously for me, as the Prime Minister of Serbia, to represent Serbia in Srebrenica on 11th July. We made that decision because we consider that we, Serbs, who also suffered much, have an obligation to respect other victims. Only in this way, they will also respect our victims“, said Vucic on that occasion.
