Vulin: Republika Srpska is a Priority for Serbia

Milorad Dodik, the President of Republika Srpska (RS), and Aleksandar Vulin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, held a meeting in Banja Luka and then addressed the public.

At the meeting, they discussed, as they say, “everything that is essential to the relations” between RS and Serbia.

Dodik stated that recently, both in RS and Serbia, an “anti-bureaucratic revolution” has been taking place, which involves a crackdown on democratically elected representatives of the government from Serbia and RS. He said that the goal is to destabilize institutions, reduce capacities, and dislocate the place of decision-making (from RS), emphasizing Sarajevo as the “new place of decision-making” and the High Representative, Christian Schmidt, as an “unappointed foreigner” who “governs this region.” Dodik further stated that he advocates for peace and dialogue, as well as the preservation of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Aleksandar Vulin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, said: “RShas strong support from President Aleksandar Vucic and all the institutions of the Republic of Serbia. RS is a priority for the Republic of Serbia. The Republic of Serbia considers the impact on RS in every move it makes on the international stage and even domestically. RS must remain stable, secure, and preserved exactly as envisioned by the Dayton Peace Agreement.”

Dodik also commented on the arrival of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, reiterating that “NATO has no political role here” and that “they do not accept integration into NATO.” He further stated that “it is short-sighted to support the Office of the High Representative (OHR) today” and that “the OHR is a criminal organization.”

Dodik also said that the media in the Federation of BiH (FBiH)engage in propaganda, adding, “We’ll see how they will prosecute and whom they will arrest and whether they will arrest anyone at all. I am not a fugitive from justice; I am a fugitive from injustice.”

Dodik and Vulin spoke about the current political situation in BiHand Serbia, Serbia’s support for RS, as well as external influences on the overall situation.
