Association of Women suffering from (or treated) breast cancer, “Zivot (Life)” will participate in the 8th humanitarian campaign called “Race for the cure,” which will take place next Saturday in Sarajevo.
About 7,000 participants will participate on this year’s “Walk for the Cure” in Sarajevo, among which 230 people are from Zenica and Žepče, and it is worth noting that the project “Race for the Cure” is held in 150 cities all around the world in order to early detect breast cancer and prevent this disease.
“The aim of our project, which is international and is the 10th in a row in our country, is to raise awareness and empowering of women’s health in the fight against breast cancer. We must be preventive and with selling T-shirts for the participants of the action we are trying to make a symbolic fund raising for gift packs for 1,300 women who recently went to surgery because of this disease, and free mammograms for socially vulnerable women,” said Suad Bobic, president of the Association “Life” from Zenica.
Association of women suffering from breast cancer, “Zivot” from Zenica is one of the 24 partner associations in B&H, which are involved in the organization of action “Walk for the Cure”, and they are inviting all citizens, participate in the campaign which will be held at Wilson’s Boulevard in Sarajevo on Saturday, the 3rd of October.
