In the notice published on the web page of this agency, it is stated that this medicine contains codeine, which is a narcotic drug, and in accordance with the law this medicine cannot be advertised to the wider public.

“New safety information was published last year by the European Medicines Agency regarding codeine, also adopted by the Agency for Medicines and Medical Aids in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and which refers to the limitation in the application of medicines which contain codeine as an active substance, due to the existence of rapid metabolizers of codeine in children, as well as in a certain number of all age groups. Consequently, these metabolizers transform codeine into morphine significantly faster, and high levels of morphine in one’s blood can lead to severe side effects,” it was stated in the notice by the Agency for Medicines and Medical Aids in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
